It was a gorgeous day today! The sun was warm, but the air temperature was mild. The sky was a crisp blue with the occasional wispy, fluffy cloud. It was perfect. The dogs and I spent a good bit of time outside enjoying the birds, the breeze, and the absence of rain. One thing I noticed as we wandered around the yard was the large number of spiders and spider webs in corners and overhangs on my house. And as I was observing the new growth on some of my plants, my eyes caught this brown cluster on this grass. I wasn't sure what it was until I looked closer.
Look at all the spiders! Tiny ones. So many legs. So much itching I feel every time I look at them. This is the best shot I could get, but it doesn't do the number of spiders justice. In the dark spots there are spiders on top of spiders. There is a large sack in the center and they are all hanging on to a large web. The web is under a blade of grass. I am holding it up so I could capture these images. I wonder how many times this has occurred and gone unnoticed by me.
Later in the evening, different angle...
